For adults who wish to take classical ballet lessons without thinking of a career (from the very beginning, ballet background is not necessary)

  • are used to watch ballet dancers from the audience but whose soul every time dances together with them
  • have always dreamt of ballet but dreams haven't come true
  • would like to touch the beautiful and spend time in a company being united by the common love towards ballet
  • would like to acquire lightness in body and good posture
  • would like to come into the shape, develop flexibility and strengthen your abs
  • would like to feel like a ballet dancer and train in the same rooms, with the same teachers
  • fatigued with the work routine and needs to change the perspective

Invitation from the organizers
Since 2013, the non-profit organization DX ART has been developing projects in the field of classical ballet in cooperation with the Tallinn Ballet School. Since 2014, we have been holding the only international competition for classical ballet dancers in Estonia - Tallinn International Ballet Competition, and since 2017, a summer intensive ballet competition - Tallinn International Ballet Masterclasses.

CLASSICAL BALLET EVENING LESSONS (amateur group), age 20+ 30+ 40+ 50+ 60+
Dates: 19th - 31st July 2021
Daily, except the weekend
Time: 19:00-20:00
Duration: 60 minutes
Place: Tallinn Ballet School (Toom-Kooli 11, Tallinn)

Two week course results
  • Your get an understanding what the classical lesson structure is, your study main positions, introductory steps, bar exercises, turinings, also jumps depending on your background and body constitution
  • Hand and leg muscles get stronger, posture gets shaped, walking gets graceful
  • Your teacher who is a professional ballet supervisor pays attention on the technique of you doing exercises in order to obtain the result and to avoid traumas and wricks
Clothes for lessons
  • No special requirements but it's good to have comfortable clothes for training and it's better if the clothes is not baggy and doesn't rivet your movements
  • For your feet ballet shoes are the best solution but if not then gym shoes or any shoes without a hill
